What KO is

KO is a personal fashion advisor that helps you understand your style through conversation. KO is built by Arium.

What we collect

  • Your name and contact info (phone number via Linq, email via Google sign-in)
  • Photos you send us (outfit photos, product screenshots)
  • Messages you exchange with KO
  • Purchase receipts from Gmail (only if you connect your Gmail — see below)

Gmail access

If you choose to connect your Gmail, we request read-only access to your email (gmail.readonly). We use this access exclusively to:
  • Scan for order confirmation and shipping notification emails
  • Extract product names, brands, prices, and purchase dates from receipts
  • Build your closet based on what you've bought
We do not:
  • Read personal emails, drafts, or attachments
  • Send emails on your behalf
  • Share your email content with third parties
  • Store raw email content — we only store extracted product metadata
You can disconnect Gmail at any time by revoking access in your Google Account settings.

Google Calendar access

If you choose to connect your Google Calendar, we request read-only access (calendar.readonly) with your permission. We use this access exclusively to:
  • Read your upcoming calendar events — title, date/time, and location
  • Suggest outfits for those occasions
We do not:
  • Modify, create, or delete anything on your calendar — access is read-only
  • Retain more than what's needed to generate outfit suggestions
  • Sell your calendar data, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalized AI/ML models
Calendar credentials are encrypted at rest, same as Gmail. You can disconnect Calendar access at any time by revoking access in your Google Account settings.

How we use your data

  • To provide personalized style advice through KO
  • To build and maintain your closet (items you own)
  • To remember your preferences and style patterns across conversations
  • To generate outfit suggestions based on your wardrobe
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

AI and third-party services

KO uses third-party AI providers to process your messages and generate responses. Your conversation content is sent to these providers solely for that purpose, and we do not permit them to use your data to train their models. We also rely on cloud infrastructure providers for hosting, storage, and email delivery; these providers process data only to operate the service.

How we protect your data

  • Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) between your device, KO, and our service providers.
  • Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure that encrypts data at rest.
  • Access to user data is restricted to a small number of authorized Arium personnel, only when needed to operate, debug, or improve the service.
  • Gmail data follows Google's Limited Use requirements: read-only scope, used only to extract receipt metadata, never stored as raw email content, and never used for advertising or to train generalized AI/ML models.
  • Photos, messages, and other content you share are used only to power KO's responses and your closet. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train third-party models.
  • If a security incident affecting your data occurs, we will notify you and any relevant authorities as required by applicable law.
  • You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing yujin@ko-fit.app.

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
